Nicola Magrone has been appointed Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of energy solutions provider Wiferion. The sales expert has a proven track record coupled with extensive market and industry expertise in the transport and intralogistics sectors. In his role as CSO, he is responsible for overseeing Wiferion’s strategic development in the field of wireless charging technology, along with the expansion of the company’s domestic and overseas sales activities. Efficient client and partner management also features among Magrone’s main tasks.

Domestic and overseas sales activities on the rise

Nicola Magrone has assumed responsibility for Wiferion’s sales activities with immediate effect, taking on the role of CSO at the leading provider of charging and energy storage technology for industrial electric vehicles. “My goal is to establish Wiferion’s disruptive technology and drive the transition of energy systems as a pioneer in the field of contactless charging solutions,” Magrone says. “Our patented wireless battery charging system facilitates the simple and efficient realisation of automation processes. As such, we’re driving the use of electric mobility in the intralogistics sector.” As CSO, Magrone can count on a highly skilled and agile team of employees at his side as he looks to convince potential clients of the benefits that the high-performance and innovative charging technology has to offer. He is also aiming to build long-term and sustainable customer relationships.

At the age of 44, the new CSO has amassed many years of experience in the transport and intralogistics sector. During his career, he spent a number of years as head of sales at SICK Vertriebs-GmbH before becoming senior market manager at SICK AG. His most recent role was as managing director of E&K Automation GmbH in Italy, one of the world’s leaders in the manufacturing and system integration of innovative high-tech transport robotics for intralogistics. “I am delighted that in Nicola Magrone, we have gained an exceptional sales expert for our company,” says Johannes Mayer, Managing Director of Wiferion. “With his many years of experience and proven expertise, he is the perfect man to drive forward our global expansion.”

Magrone believes that Wiferion’s flat hierarchy is a big asset for the Freiburg-based Company.
