Do the electromagnetic fields affect the vehicle control, sensors, actuators or other electrical components?
No. The system is very well shielded. However, there are minimum clearances that must be observed. See operating instructions.
Can the system be dangerous? Does the system meet safety regulations?
The system is CE certified and therefore complies with safety requirements (EMC, NRL, etc.). Certain precautions must be taken and observed during installation and operation. These can be found in detail in the operations manual.
Can the vehicle be charged in some other way if the system fails?
Another charger can also be easily connected in parallel. etaLINK is short circuit and reverse current safe.
Is wireless charging dangerous?
The inductive charging stations are shielded and targeted so that the range of the magnetic field is very limited. Wiferion even exceeds the EU-wide magnetic field regulations and the smart etaLINK charging pads only create the magnetic field if both pads in charging range of each other.
A foreign object i.e. can pose a danger: As with the induction cooker, these can become extremely hot if they get into the magnetic field of the charging coil while it is active.
