PULS, technology and market leader in DIN rail power supplies, has acquired the business of wireless charging specialist Wiferion. Wiferion’s leading technology is now enhanced with the capabilities of PULS, a technology-driven company based in Munich, with a revenue of 250 million euros in 2022. Wiferion customers benefit from a global presence in production and application support. The current operational Wiferion team will remain in Freiburg as the PULS Wireless business unit.
More power for wireless charging – PULS wireless
For Wiferion customers, nothing will change in the operational business. PULS takes over all existing contracts, trademark rights and patents. In the medium term, users will benefit from PULS’ global manufacturing capacities. With its own plants in the Czech Republic, China and Germany, the power supply specialist has modern production lines. This means that large quantities can be produced in the highest quality and scaled up as required. In addition, PULS can procure more cost-effectively due to its purchasing volume and global sources.
Great synergies between Wiferion and PULS
There are great synergies between Wiferion and PULS:
Both companies manufacture power electronics, where efficiency and reliability are key. Wireless power transmission is a special form of power supply. The transformer in a power supply is replaced by spatially separated coils. This allows PULS developers to quickly familiarize themselves with Wiferion’s products and technologies. And since PULS already has a strong presence in intralogistics, the wireless charging solutions are an excellent addition to the existing product portfolio and address a similar customer base.
